Welcome

Writing Mentor is a space shaped by my 22 years in Kenya’s publishing industry, from the solitary desk of the editor to the strategic helm as chief executive officer of two publishing houses. My immediate former stint was as Regional Director at Oxford University Press (East Africa). I understand that writing can be daunting—whether you're crafting your first manuscript, shaping a memoir, or refining institutional narratives. This platform exists to guide, encourage, and elevate your voice. Here, writers find clarity, structure, and the editorial wisdom needed to turn ideas into impact. Whether you're seeking mentorship, feedback, or a compass through the fog of the blank page, you're not alone. And the good part is you don't have to write. You speak it, I write it!
